Made by Hand. Rooted in Heritage. Connected by Heart.
Atlas Made Rug was born from a six-year journey across 85 countries. Living alongside Indigenous communities, I experienced the warmth, generosity, and resilience of traditional cultures—alongside the real challenges artisans face in preserving their heritage for future generations.
Then, I arrived in Morocco.
Here, I met Amazigh communities whose deep connection to their roots changed everything. I was profoundly moved by the Amazigh women weavers, who carry forward centuries-old techniques passed down through generations.

Preserving a Living Heritage
For Amazigh women, rug weaving is not simply a craft; it is a living form of cultural expression. Designs, symbols, and memories are preserved through oral tradition rather than written patterns, allowing the colors and motifs to emerge naturally during the creative process.
"No two rugs are exactly alike. Each one carries the hands, imagination, and story of the woman who made it."

Our Ethos: The Women Behind the Weave
The women who craft these pieces are the true heart of Atlas Made Rug. We view our artisans not just as rug makers, but as master artists. Every business decision we make is guided by one question: How can we build a respectful, meaningful relationship that honors their work and helps preserve their heritage?

To ensure every rug is as ethical as it is beautiful, our partnerships are grounded in four core pillars:
Direct Relationships: We foster genuine, lasting partnerships rather than treating their work as simply a product to be sourced.
Honoring Craftsmanship: We take the time to deeply understand the rich techniques and countless hours of dedication behind every piece.
Transparency & Voice: We maintain open communication, ensuring each artisan has an active voice in determining the value of her work.
Fair Pricing: We are steadfast in our commitment to paying our artisans fairly. It is our responsibility to honor the women, skills, and cultural heritage woven into every rug.
